Frenchman Olivier Conan, now based at the Barbes nightclub and record label in Brooklyn, has made it his personal mission to introduce American and Europe to this remarkable blend of cumbia, surf and psychedelia -- his second Roots Of Chicha compilation is now in stores, and you'll hear a track from it on this week's edition of Global A Go-Go in a set of twangy music from around the world.
