Here’s the first single from Bio Ritmo’s currently-in-process album. It’s a descarga, an improvised or spontaneous-sounding instrumental en clave that’s designed to appeal equally to jazz-oriented listeners and to salsa dancers. It provides plenty of room for Ritmo’s horn section to stretch out in solo and ensemble segments; trumpeter Mark Ingraham and trombonist Toby Whitaker shine on this one, which definitely has more sabor.
